Microids and Magic Pockets have announced their upcoming educational adventure game, Dolphin Spirit: Ocean Mission, set to release on September 28th, 2023. The game will be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 in both retail and digital versions, and in digital versions only for Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC.
Dolphin Spirit: Ocean Mission transports players to the tropical island of Maupiroa, which is under threat from pollution and impending disaster. Players will team up with their dolphin companion, Keanu, to explore the island’s seabed, interact with its inhabitants, and help a local environmental association save the island and restore its vibrant ecosystem. Maupiroa offers a blend of folklore, traditions, and fantasy, promising surprises and discoveries throughout the game.
Throughout their journey on Maupiroa, players will receive assistance from their grandfather and local islanders as they work to save the island from destruction. They will delve into their ancestral heritage, unlock the secrets of magical totems, and discover hidden underwater treasures with Keanu the dolphin. By participating in the local association’s conservation missions and photographing the island’s wildlife, players will complete their codex, learning about the diverse marine species and their habitats.
