Vertigo Games, the VR publishing and development arm of the PLAION Group, and developer InnerspaceVR have announced the release date for Another Fisherman’s Tale, the highly anticipated sequel to the 2019 VR Game of the Year, A Fisherman’s Tale. Set to launch on May 11th for PS VR2, Meta Quest 2, and all PC VR platforms, this new installment promises to captivate players with its innovative mechanics and engaging story.
To mark the announcement, Vertigo and InnerspaceVR have released a gameplay showcase video featuring developer commentary from Creative Director and Co-Founder Balthazar Auxietre and Game Director Alexis Moroz. The video provides a glimpse into the game’s second chapter, highlighting the core body-augmenting mechanics and an exciting escape sequence.
Another Fisherman’s Tale introduces a total reinvention of its predecessor’s mechanics, placing players at the center of the puzzle-solving experience. The game offers several unique features:
- DETACH limbs and hands from your body to control them remotely, allowing you to perform tasks such as retrieving objects or gaining a new perspective on your surroundings.
- REPLACE limbs with various objects to unlock new abilities, such as climbing walls with pirate hook hands, cutting rope with a crab’s claw, or improving your swimming skills with a fish’s tail.
