Farming Simulator 22 is taking a big step forward with the introduction of its fifth season of the official Farming Simulator League (FSL). After being established in 2019, the FSL has now been upgraded to make it easier for every interested fan to join the league with the introduction of a new “Esports” section in the main menu of Farming Simulator 22. The league is expanding to consoles and the FSL client, which was previously only available to PC players, will now be available to console players as well.

Christian Ammann, CEO of GIANTS Software, the game’s publisher and developer, commented on this new milestone, saying “This marks another milestone in the history of our successful endeavors to make virtual farming not only competitive and fun, but professional and inspiring.”

The FSL will begin its fifth season with FarmCon on July 1st and 2nd, but all Farming Simulator players can participate in the new Arena mode when the update becomes available. Players can battle with their friends and other fans to demonstrate their skills before joining the FSL to challenge professional teams.

With a new main sponsor for its fifth season, HELM AG, a family-run and long-established agricultural company from Hamburg, Germany, the prize pool is now worth 200,000 Euros, making it even more enticing for existing and new teams to compete in the competitive agriculture of the Arena mode.

PC players can join an open beta to try the new competitive farming before its official launch in June. The pre-release version includes two vying game modes – Bale Stacking and Arena – for up to six players each. In the Arena mode, two teams of up to three players compete to harvest wheat, press bales, and deliver them to their own barn as quickly as possible.

The Farming Simulator 22 game is available on PC, Mac, PlayStation 5 (PS5), Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The FSL is providing a new and exciting way for players to engage with the popular game while also showcasing the fun and competitive nature of virtual farming.

Platforms: Microsoft Windows, Mac Operating Systems, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Cloud Gaming
