Following the successful launch of its debut LP, a deluxe pressing of the Rogue Legacy soundtrack, Gamer’s Edition is proud to announce its second release – a limited-edition vinyl LP of the soundtrack to hit farming simulator Stardew Valley.
Released in 2016 by solo developer ConcernedApe (Eric Barone) to widespread critical acclaim, Stardew Valley’s charming, methodical gameplay has attracted a huge and dedicated audience. The game has enjoyed enormous sales success, selling over a million copies on Steam alone before release on OSX, PS4 and Xbox One, and a Nintendo Switch version will be released later in 2017.
Players have been quick to praise the game’s soundtrack, entirely composed by Barone. The eclectic mix of songs which punctate Stardew Valley are beautiful and moving compositions – love-letters to each of the seasons, they mix traditional instrumental and more contemporary arrangements.
As huge fans of the game and avid collectors of vinyl, Gamer’s Edition has worked closely with ConcernedApe to create the ultimate version of the Stardew Valley soundtrack. The Gamer’s Edition Stardew Valley OST features Barone’s favourite 36 songs from the game, mastered for vinyl by KMJ45 Studio and presented in custom packaging created exclusively for this release.
The Gamer’s Edition Stardew Valley OST will be available as a limited run of 600 copies on triple-striped heavyweight vinyl, sealed inside protective poly-lined inner sleeves and a high-quality outer gatefold jacket featuring art from the talented Kari Fry.
