A virtual reality game based on the SAW movie franchise makes its UK debut in London next week – with players losing their (disappointingly virtual) limbs if they fail to solve complex puzzles.
Created by Apache for VRX Networks and currently spanning 38 malls across the USA, the Jigsaw VR Experience transports players into the world from the hit horror franchise to play Jigsaw’s final game.
It will make its UK debut at the Future Tech Now Show in London on April 5-7, promising to bring an extra dimension to future-technology excitement.
Visitors will have the opportunity to solve complex puzzles in this chilling VR experience. But if they fail, they run the risk of being dismembered in increasingly horrifying ways.
Gamers will initially find themselves, and a competitor, bound to a chair that is being pulled toward a range of swinging saw blades. The player must navigate their pace to the end of the room to reach the pressure pad first. If they do this, they will have the choice to live or die. Live, and the competitor does not. Die…..game over.
Upon choosing to live, the player is moved to the next room. Here they must complete a puzzle box in order to unlock a key that will set them free. But the chain will continue to pull them towards a range of blades that will dismember them if they do not complete the task in time.
Complete the task, the player wins and is set free. Do not complete the task…….the player is relieved of their limbs.
