IXION, the sci-fi city builder game from Kasedo Games and Bulwark Studios, has just released a new update that introduces four difficulty options, allowing players to choose their own adventure and customize their gaming experience. The update is now available on both Steam and Epic.
The new difficulty options come in the form of four levels: Journey, Default, Challenge, and a fully-customizable mode. Journey is recommended for players who are new to the city-building genre and want to enjoy the game’s narrative, while Default is the intended IXION experience and is recommended for players who are familiar with city builders.
The Challenge mode is for those Administrators who are ready for an unrelenting fight for survival and want to test their skills. For those who want to tailor their own difficulty, there is the fully-customizable mode. This mode allows players to adjust a wide variety of game mechanics to their taste, and the parameters can be tweaked mid-game if needed.
The update also brings a new achievement to the game. This achievement is available only on the hard difficulty setting and challenges experienced Administrators to reach the end of the game under extreme circumstances. The achievement was named by the IXION community members through a competition, and the winning entry was “I Give You The Stars,” referencing a quote from DOLOS AEC’s enigmatic CEO, Vanir Dolos.
In addition to the new difficulty options and achievement, the update also includes a range of fixes and improvements. This is great news for players who have been waiting for a more customizable gaming experience.
