Today, The Pokémon Company International unveiled exciting updates for Pokémon UNITE, celebrating its 2nd Anniversary. Since its initial release in 2021, the game has achieved a remarkable milestone of over 100 million downloads worldwide, with 56 unique Pokémon available for players to choose from. In honor of two years of thrilling Pokémon UNITE battles, a brand-new battle type and a fan-favorite Pokémon are now accessible to all players.

Mewtwo Takes the Stage: Mega Evolve into Mega Mewtwo X

The Legendary Pokémon, Mewtwo, has entered the fray in Pokémon UNITE. Trainers can now bring this formidable psychic-type Pokémon into battle and even witness it Mega Evolve into Mega Mewtwo X, unleashing a barrage of relentless attacks.

As part of the ongoing Mewtwo’s Crystal Cave Challenge event, players can acquire a Unite license for Mega Mewtwo X at no cost. Additionally, a Unite license for Mega Mewtwo Y is set to become available in mid-August, offering players more options to experience battles with this beloved Pokémon.

Introducing the New Battle Type: Panic Parade

Departing from the traditional 5-on-5 battle format, Pokémon UNITE now features a captivating new battle type called Panic Parade. In this mode, players collaborate to protect Tinkaton from an onslaught of panicking Pokémon, posing a unique challenge for even the most seasoned Trainers. Defeated Pokémon may even return to the battle briefly to provide much-needed assistance to their team.

Battle Pass 17, Captain Style: Zacian Takes the Helm

The latest Battle Pass, Battle Pass 17, is now accessible to players, featuring captivating new additions. Among the rewards are the adorable Marine Style: Greedent and the chivalrous Captain Style: Zacian Holowear, alongside the stylish Captain Set Trainer fashion items, which can be obtained through the premium pass.

The Battle Pass 17 event period spans from Friday, July 21st, at 8:00 p.m. EST/5:00 p.m. PST to Monday, September 11th, at 7:59 p.m. EST/4:59 p.m. PST.

Additionally, the WCS Prediction Event provides an excellent opportunity for players to predict the top-ranked teams in the Pokémon World Championships 2023 and earn fantastic rewards, including popular Trainer fashion items. The event is available from Friday, July 28th, at 3:00 a.m. EST/12:00 a.m. PST to Friday, August 11th, at 7:59 p.m. EST/4:59 p.m. PST.
