Monster Hunter Stories Expands to New Platforms This Summer

Capcom Announces Multi-Platform Release for RPG Adventure

In a recent update from Capcom during the Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase, it was revealed that Monster Hunter Stories™, the turn-based role-playing game, is set to launch on Nintendo Switch™, PlayStation®4, and PC via Steam in the coming summer months. This game invites players into a vibrant world populated by formidable monsters and communities dedicated to hunting them. Amidst this backdrop, a unique village thrives on an alternate tradition where inhabitants, known as Monster Riders, form alliances with monsters, referred to as Monsties, through the power of kinship stones. This bond allows them to explore diverse landscapes and engage in battles alongside their Monstie companions.

Game Features and Enhancements

With its transition to new gaming platforms, Monster Hunter Stories is poised to offer players a richer experience with a host of new features and enhancements:

Refined Graphics: Initially launched on the Nintendo 3DS™, the game will now boast improved modeling, textures, and lighting in high definition, optimizing the visual experience on larger screens.

Fully Voiced Narratives: Enhancing immersion, the game will feature complete voiceovers in both Japanese and English.

Expanded Language Support: New language options will be available, including Traditional and Simplified Chinese, Korean, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, Polish, and Arabic, aiming to cater to a global audience.

Museum Mode: Players can explore the Monster Hunter Stories universe more deeply with the addition of Museum mode, which showcases the game’s background music and developer sketches.

Inclusive Title Updates: Content previously exclusive to the Japanese market, specifically from title updates TU 1.20 and TU 1.30, will now be accessible to players worldwide.

A Journey of Kinship and Adventure

Monster Hunter Stories offers a distinct take on the Monster Hunter universe, focusing on the symbiotic relationships between Riders and their Monsties. Players can look forward to hatching and customizing Monstie companions, engaging in strategic turn-based battles, and unveiling the game’s enriched content and visual upgrades on the Nintendo Switch™, PlayStation®4, and PC platforms this summer.
