GungHo Online Entertainment’s popular gum-based ninja action game, Ninjala, has officially kicked off its collaboration with the hit anime Evangelion. Starting today and running until August 9, players can immerse themselves in the world of Evangelion by dressing up as their favorite characters from the beloved series. This collaboration brings an array of exciting content to the gum arena, including special collab items, outfits, accessories, and themed challenges.
Special Collab Items and Rewards
During the collaboration period, players who log in to Ninjala will receive special collab items once per day. These exclusive items include medals and event-exclusive Gum, inspired by the iconic Spear of Longinus from Evangelion. Make sure not to miss out on these limited-time rewards!
Mecha-Themed Goodies
In the Shinobi Shop, players can pick up a variety of cool outfits and accessories inspired by the characters and mechs of Evangelion. Additionally, the Gumball Machine offers a chance to test your luck and obtain mecha-themed goodies. Players can also participate in challenges to earn rewards such as emotes based on iconic moments from the anime, including phrases like “A.T. Field deployed” and “What kind of idiot are you?”.
The Gum Utsusemi, a powerful ability in the game, is also getting an Evangelion-inspired makeover. Players can acquire Gum Utsusemi based on the 4th and 6th Angels from the anime series. Furthermore, players who achieve high placements in the Evangelion Cup will be rewarded with IPPON Decorations based on EVA Unit 01, the Children, and the Evangelion cockpit monitors. Four Tournament Celebration decorations are also up for grabs for those who excel in the Evangelion Cup.
Stickers featuring the NERV and SEELE Logos, as well as five iconic EVA quotes, will be available for players to collect and use. Additional items include a face accessory based on the 4th Angel, a Gum Bottle adorned with cute designs inspired by Evangelion units, and T-shirts featuring NERV, SEELE, and WILLE designs.
Dress Better Than Ever
Ninjala players can fully embrace the Evangelion collaboration by dressing the part in outfits based on the characters and mechs from the anime. Some of the available outfits include the Plug Suits and Uniforms of popular characters such as Shinji Ikari, Rei Ayanami, Asuka Langley-Shikinami, Kaworu Nagisa, and Mari Makinami. Moreover, players can even don the iconic Evangelion units themselves, including Evangelion Unit 01, Evangelion Unit 00, Evangelion Unit 02, Evangelion Mk.6, and Evangelion Unit 08. To complete the ensemble, the beloved character Misato Katsuragi also receives her own outfit.
Players can equip these collab items and enjoy battles in Ninjala while fully immersed in the world of Evangelion. Additionally, players have the opportunity to receive a WILLE-themed costume by completing the Shinobi Challenges.
Event Exclusive Weapon Skins
To add more excitement to the collaboration, Ninjala introduces event-exclusive Ninja-Gums based on the weapons from Evangelion. Players can wield these unique Gum variations during battles, allowing them to fight back against the Angels in style. The event-exclusive Ninja-Gums include the Tongue Gum, inspired by the Spear of Longinus, the IPPON Gum resembling a knife, the Slash Gum representing Unit 01, the Shinobi Gum reflecting Unit 00, the Iron Gum based on Unit 02, the Calibur Gum resembling the Mk.6, the GR8 Gum inspired by Unit 08, and the Yo-yo Gum featuring the NERV logo.
Battle Royale and Tournaments
For competitive players, the collaboration introduces the Evangelion Cup (Solo), an in-game tournament held on July 29 from 7:00 p.m. to July 30, 1:00 a.m. PDT. All participants in the Evangelion Cup will receive a NERV sticker, but only the most skilled fighters will have a chance to win a limited-edition IPPON Decoration, gold medals, and gacha coins. Players who rank among the top 1500 in the tournament will also earn a limited-edition outfit adorned with the NERV logo.
Work Together, Win Together
During the collaboration period, a Battle Bonus will be in effect for Team Battles. Players participating in Team Battles can earn valuable rewards such as Gacha Coins, Research Points, and a collab sticker based on the number of battles they engage in. Additionally, players will receive bonuses simply for logging in, including Ninja Medals and Research Points. Those who achieve a top 3 placement in the fifth round of the Shinobi Challenges will be rewarded with a WILLE Logo T-shirt. As part of the collab, a GOEMON Matsuri event will also take place, providing players with 600 Jala as a reward for logging in. When combined with the ongoing 3rd Anniversary Campaign, players have the opportunity to earn up to 1100 total free Jala.
