Title: Nordic Game Reveals First Speakers for NG23 Spring Conference in Malmö, Sweden
Nordic Game has unveiled the first speakers for its upcoming NG23 Spring conference, which will take place from May 23-26, both online and on-stage at Slagthuset in Malmö, Sweden. The event will feature high-quality conversations, presentations, panels, and workshops that address relevant topics within the gaming industry. Over 130 industry professionals are expected to share their insights during the conference.
Among the first speakers announced for NG23 Spring are:
- Bergur Finnbogason, Creative Director of EVE Online at CCP (Iceland) Finnbogason will deliver a talk titled “The Unexpected Turns That Led to a Titan: EVE Online” about the 20-year history of the legendary sci-fi sandbox MMO. This session will be of interest to those who want to learn about the Nordic games industry’s proud history and the incredible journey of the Icelandic game studio that has made a significant impact on the global industry.
- Clara Sia, Influencer Strategy and Relations Manager at Devolver (USA) Sia will participate in a conversation about optimizing work with influencers, alongside a yet-to-be-announced Nordic lead. She is responsible for managing influencer strategy and relations at Devolver, helping to elevate the reach of the company’s published games before a global audience through a holistic approach.
- Tomas Sala, Creator of The Falconeer (Netherlands) Sala, the creator of the BAFTA-nominated game The Falconeer, will give a talk on AI and art titled “Breaking the prison, how art will save you! (from your AI overlords and yourself).” The session will explore artistic evolution and signature, discussing the power of creative meanderings, unconstrained exploration, and rigid creative limitations to achieve freedom and productivity in the gaming industry.
Additional speakers revealed for the conference include Mariina Hallikainen (Colossal Order), Carolina Mastretta (Original Fire Games), Hugo Obi (Maliyo Games), Shannon and Jared Gerritzen (Illfonic), AI specialists Christoffer Holmgård (Modl.ai) and Fredrik Präntare (Pugstorm), and Nordic Game legend/mascot/genius Ste Curran.
