Player Research, A Keywords Studio, to open new lab in Montreal, Canada

UK Brighton-based Player Research, a Keywords Studio, plans to open a new state-of-the-art user research lab in Montreal to support its growth in North America, globalizing its offer and leveraging Keywords’ strong local presence in the city. Opening on January 2nd, the new lab will have the capacity to handle multiplayer and single player research sessions. It will include a team of up to 8 games UX researchers, led by Ubisoft and Compulsion Games veteran Morgan Kennedy.

With this new expansion, Keywords continues to support the delivery of a broad suite of services to its global customer base. By leveraging its presence in Montreal, the group can readily provide access to its QA, player support and localization experts, helping to promote synergies across its service line offerings.

Graham McAllister, Director of Player Research, a Keywords Studio, commented: “We’re very excited to be welcoming Morgan onboard and opening our UX playtesting labs in Montreal. It’s a vibrant region for a wide range of game developers and we’re looking forward to working with developers across Canada and all of North America.”

“I’m looking forward to working with our team of world-class experts to bring AAA-quality usability research and user experience insights to game developers of all types in Montreal, North America and beyond. Making Player Research Canada the best place to do games user research in North America, both for clients as well as our staff, is my priority” said Morgan Kennedy, Studio Lead, Player Research Canada.
