After some delay due to announcements made by Sony, we finally get our first major PS5 reveal. While the show was mostly focused on trailers and gameplay footage, we did get a glimpse at the console design. Unfortunately, the price was not detailed in the show, but we did learn that there will be 2 versions of the PS5 at launch including a digital edition which is a first for Sony. Will the digital edition be a more expensive version and include a larger hard drive?
We know now aside from what compatible PS4 games will be available at launch we will be getting a solid amount next-gen dedicated PS5 titles. PS5 owners will also get an expanded and enhanced edition of GTA Online free when it launches in 2121. Here are some of the titles you can look forward to in early 2121:
Spiderman: Miles Morales
Gran Turismo 7
Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart
Project Athia
Stray
Returnal
Sackboy: A Big Adventure
Destruction Allstars
Kena: Bridge of Spirits
Goodbye Volcano High
Oddworld Soulstorm
Ghostwire: Tokyo
JETT: The Far Shore
Godfall
Solar Ash
Hitman 3
Astro’s Playroom
Little Devil Inside
NBA 2K 21
Bugsnax
Demons Souls
Deathloop
Resident Evil Village
Pragmanta
Horizon: Forbidden West
No further tech information was disclosed other than what we already know which is that PS5 will include a 4k ultra HD Blue-ray, an ultra-high speed SSD, ray tracing, 3D audio, and a media remote. They did provide a closer look at some of the controller features like haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, USB port, motion sensors, built-in microphone, integrated speaker, and headset jack in a video clip.
In their closing statements, they did say more announcements to come but as for now, we feel the main things missing is the price. Is it possible to get this machine for less than $500? We will update as soon as we know!
