If you watch professional Esports then it would be no surprise that you have heard of Secretlab. They support some of the biggest names in the gaming industry. You see their chairs being used all over live-streamed major Esports tournaments on the daily. Today we are taking a look at the TITAN Evo in the XL size (Summer body has not kicked in yet). This specific model features SoftWeave fabric, proprietary Pebble seat base, 4-way L-Adapt lumbar support system, Cold-Cure memory foam, class 4 hydraulics, Cloudswap armrest technology, and a magnetic memory foam head pillow priced at $589.
If you have read my reviews in the past, you will know that I am a sucker for fancy upscale packaging. “No Cap” this packaging is gas AF!!! By far the dopest packaging I have ever seen in my life, literally every single component is custom wrapped. Seriously I didn’t even want to take it out of the box. I was able to easily assemble this chair without any outside help at all. It took about 45 minutes to complete the assembly and be ready to game. Magnetic Cloudswap technology allows you to put the final touches on the assembly process by allowing you to mount the armrests and head pillow with the flick of a wrist.
Your back will rest on a 4-Way L-Adapt lumbar support system designed to flex with the shape of your spine. Outside you will find the texture of the Softweave Plus Fabric feels so good. From a fit perspective, this chair is perfect, it’s supportive in every area. Aside from the backrest not dropping to a nap position the personalized ergonomics ensure there is a perfect adjustment for everyone. It was, however, a massive letdown to find out the Cold-Cure memory foam was so stiff. It feels like my back is resting on cardboard, it’s very uncomfortable. I am having trouble understanding why because the magnetic memory foam head pillow is the most comfortable thing I have ever felt. A happy medium between the two would make this chair perfect. Unless you are into super-stiff memory foam then this chair is for you.
TITAN Evo’s craftsmanship and design quality does not fall far from the packaging tree. On paper, this chair is fully loaded with enough features and proprietary technology to put in a Bugatti. It is made from heavy-duty materials which is why they give you a standard 3-year warranty and an upgrade to 5 if you share a picture of your chair. XL is recommended for a height range of 5ft 11” – 6ft 9” and a maximum weight of 395lbs. If you can get comfortable in this chair, then it’s worth every penny. It’s a looker too and not the least bit camera shy due to its many appearances at Esports tournaments.
As of now, they are only sold online so you will be unable to test one out for yourself. It’s a big investment but there is no need to worry Secretlab allows you up to 49 days from the date of delivery to return it. If you are looking for quality, you should definitely take a look at these chairs. You may not feel the same way about the memory foam as me which would make this chair close to perfect. I really like this chair a lot, I will be on the lookout for a model with softer memory foam.
