Ubisoft Unveils Free Seasonal Update, Enhancing the High Seas Adventure
Ubisoft has officially launched Raging Tides,”the first season of Skull and Bones, marking a significant milestone for the game with its worldwide availability at no extra cost. This update comes in the wake of Skull and Bones achieving an impressive milestone in player engagement, boasting an average daily playtime of over four hours, placing it as the second-highest in Ubisoft’s history for player engagement.
A Deep Dive into Season 1: Raging Tides
Season 1, titled Raging Tides, invites players to navigate through treacherous waters to build their pirate empire while introducing them to new challenges, including the formidable Pirate Lord Philippe La Peste and his notorious ship, La Potence. This season sets the stage for an ongoing saga where players will continuously face evolving threats and opportunities to expand their dominion over the seas.
Key Features and Updates
Tides of Terror and World Events: The season brings Tides of Terror, a series of increasingly challenging events leading to a confrontation with La Peste’s Fleet of Pestilence, climaxing in a monumental battle at the Blighted Bastion. Additionally, new World Events will feature confrontations with Elite Warships from powerful megacorporations and local factions, alongside high-stakes encounters with Merchant Convoys across the Indian Ocean.
Bounties and Leaderboard Rewards: Players can pursue new bounties targeting legendary threats like the Ghost Ship and the Sea Monster. Season 1 also introduces enhanced leaderboard rewards, including top-tier weapons and equipment.
Seasonal Smuggler Pass: The update offers a Smuggler Pass with three free tracks, enabling players to acquire gameplay items, blueprints for ship customization, and a variety of free cosmetics. A Premium pass is available for those looking to secure additional cosmetics and the Gold premium currency.
Developed by Ubisoft Singapore in collaboration with other Ubisoft studios, Skull and Bones is a cooperative open-world pirate action RPG. Players are encouraged to forge their path to become the ultimate pirate kingpin in a dynamic and perilous world.
