In celebration of the comic’s 20th anniversary and the upcoming Season Two of the adult animated show on Prime Video, Skybound Entertainment has unveiled a series of interactive tabletop games and special collectibles. The thrilling merchandise was exclusively announced at Comic-Con International: San Diego during the Invincible 20th-anniversary panel on Friday evening.
Invincible Nendoroid: A Collector’s Dream Come True
During the panel, fans were treated to a first look at the highly anticipated Invincible Nendoroid created by Good Smile Company. Nendoroid figures have a massive following and are beloved for their ability to be posed and customized. The Invincible Nendoroid will come with three alternate faces, two sets of hands, two sets of arms, two sets of legs, and a flight stand, all fully colored in Invincible’s iconic blue and yellow superhero uniform from Season One of the Prime Video animated series. Fans were thrilled to catch a glimpse of the Invincible Nendoroid gray prototype, which generated even more excitement for this remarkable collectible. The figure is scheduled to be available for pre-order in early fall 2023.

Invincible: The Hero-Building Game – A Strategic Adventure
For fans seeking strategy and suspense, Invincible: The Hero-Building Game, developed by Dire Wolf Digital, offers an immersive tabletop co-op experience for up to four players. Players assume the roles of fledgling hero Mark Grayson and the Teen Team as they learn to harness their powers and collaborate to safeguard the Earth. The game’s challenges intensify as tasks become more demanding, requiring players to balance their resources to protect civilians and fellow heroes effectively.
Scott Martins, president of Dire Wolf Digital, shared his excitement about the project, stating, “As fans of both the comics and the show, our team was very excited for the opportunity to create a unique game based on the Invincible universe. With a fusion of bag- and tableau-building, players can customize their hero in each game, allowing for infinite outcomes while still embracing key events of the original narrative.” The game is expected to be released in early 2024.
Invincible: Escape from Mars – A Game of Intrigue
Completing the array of anniversary merchandise is Invincible: Escape from Mars, a social deduction game designed by Whitney Lorraine, Joshua Camden, and Patrick Logan for Skybound Tabletop. This thrilling game is based on Season One Episode Four of the critically acclaimed Prime Video series Invincible, titled “Neil Armstrong, Eat Your Heart Out.” Players can choose to play as one of three unique teams – Astronaut, Hero, or Infected Squid – each with their own specific victory missions and obstacles. With the fate of all humanity at stake, players must navigate a web of deception and intrigue to secure victory.
Ben Kepner, Senior Tabletop Designer at Skybound Entertainment, expressed his delight in developing this game, stating, “This was such a fun game to develop for Skybound, home of the Invincible IP. Whitney, Josh, and Patrick have done a remarkable job of taking a classic social deduction framework and adding some very cool twists that make it feel right at home in the Invincible Universe. This game is perfect for small groups, but also supports up to 10 players.” While an obsession with Invincible is not required to enjoy the game, it is highly recommended! Invincible: Escape from Mars is set to be available in Q1 of 2024.
Both Invincible: The Hero-Building Game and Invincible: Escape from Mars will be available for preview and pre-order at GenCon from August 3 to 6, 2023.
