Prepare to survive the arid hellscape known as Amber Valleys. Merge Games, the publisher of Smalland: Survive the Wilds, drops a third content update, packing in new challenges for players brave enough to face venomous creatures, new gear, and emotes.

Desert Biome Adds New Challenges and Characters

The Amber Valleys update introduces an entirely new desert biome, making the survival game’s environment even more diverse. Players will encounter NPCs like Sarnak, the Priestess of the Aetherin, and Granger, a lone rancher. In addition, new story quests enhance gameplay and deepen the narrative.

Face Venomous Creatures with Fresh Gear

Tarantulas, scorpions, snakes, and other lethal predators inhabit this unforgiving desert landscape. Players can now tame and mount scorpions, gaining a new means of traversal and a fresh set of armor to match. The armory also expands with the addition of the game’s first-ever ballistic weapon, the Ballistic Handcannon, complete with Iron Ammo. Also available are the Firesand Grenade, Fang Sabre, and Telson Hammer, giving players new tools for crafting and combat.

Emotes and Enhancements Add Flavor to Multiplayer

In a nod to enhanced social interaction, this update brings a set of character emotes, such as waves and victory poses. In terms of gameplay, an item quality and enhancement system allows players to craft superior gear, either providing more damage or better defense.

Craft, Build, and Explore with Friends or Solo

“Smalland: Survive the Wilds” encourages crafting and exploration in a sprawling world, with options to ride wild creatures from Geckos to Scorpions. The encampment system allows for ground or canopy bases, and players can even claim a Great Tree for a mobile base. New lore from hidden NPCs enriches the game’s universe, offering more insight into surviving the wilderness.

The Amber Valleys update is available now on Steam, and the game is also accessible on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The game initially launched in Early Access in March and garnered a peak of over 52k daily players and 1.9 million Twitch watch hours.

So, if you’re ready to dive deeper into the world of “Smalland: Survive the Wilds,” the Amber Valleys await. Grab your gear, assemble your crew, and get ready to conquer new challenges.
