Gotta Go Fast in Relentless Rampage

Rogue Games and developer Gridsnap Games LLC have announced that the comic-inspired, first-person telekinetic brawler Stop Dead will release on October 5 via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Players must traverse a chaotic, comic book cityscape where pausing can mean instant death. With over 160 unique throwable objects, including guns, chainsaws, and recently slain corpses, the game offers fast-paced action across 40 levels and four biomes. Achieving S ranks for quick level completion provides players bragging rights and the chance to memorialize their achievements.

Limited-Time Future Games Show Demo Released

A new Future Games Show demo is now live on PC via Steam, offering players a never-before-seen level and Twitch integrations for content creators. A corresponding Future Games Show x Stop Dead competition will run simultaneously, awarding the two players with the highest score and fastest run in the demo Xbox Series X and PS5 consoles. Hurry, as the demo will only be live for one week.

Stop Dead’s Twitch Integrations for Content Creators

The game’s Twitch integrations enable custom commands for stream viewers, allowing them to interact with the streamer by applying effects or spawning items and enemies. Streamers can also unleash their ghosts to race against other players, power up in-game enemies, and customize their UI placement, providing a more engaging experience for viewers.

A Future Filled with Endless Cityscapes, AI, and Chaos

Set in a future where AI rules the planet, Stop Dead places players in the shoes of a character swept up in a rogue AI’s plans to destroy its creators. The key to survival? Fast reflexes, telekinesis, and a pair of fingerless gloves. The mantra of the game is simple: keep moving or stop dead.

Developers Reflect on Creating Stop Dead

Mike Moore, Creative Overlord at Gridsnap Games, expressed satisfaction with their partnership with Rogue, stating they’ve received great ideas and support throughout development. Rogue CEO Matt Casamassina praised the innovation of the game, emphasizing how Stop Dead brings a fresh perspective to the FPS genre, focusing on movement and wild physics as much as world traversal and combat.

Availability

Stop Dead will be available October 5 on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, offering players a chance to immerse themselves in the fast-paced, comic-inspired world where stopping is not an option.
