With a completely remastered campaign, new enemies and unlocks, and even a secret new weapon for dedicated players to uncover, Sublevel Zero Redux adds hours more addictive gameplay.

Lead artist Gary Lloyd says “We’re bringing all the new content, features and extras from the console version back to PC, Mac and Linux, absolutely free, to say thank you to all our dedicated fans. And we’re really excited to be releasing VR support!”

A detailed list of new content, features and extras coming on July 13th:

Remastered Campaign – Revamped for a smoother learning curve, with unlockable levels and harder modes. Difficulty settings offer an easier introduction for new players plus an even more unforgiving challenge for veterans.
Expanded Procedural Generation – We’ve added over 70 new rooms to further expand the game and add more variety to levels.
New Enemies & Elite Enemies – We’ve created two brand-new enemies to keep you on your toes. Plus, veteran players can unlock more than a dozen elite variants of existing enemies. These guys take more hits, punch back even harder, and exhibit new behaviours, adding another layer of difficulty for the most experienced pilots.
Localisation – French, German, Spanish, Italian and Russian players can look forward to enjoying Sublevel Zero Redux in their native language.
Enemy Bestiary – Unlock trophies and codex data by killing enemies.
New Player Ships – The Seeker is perfect for VR players with its homing weapons, and we’ve added a new unlockable ship – the Reaver.
Teleporters – New teleporter system gets players back into the action faster.
Save and Quit Leaving mid-game now gives you the option to continue from the start of your current level.
Steam Trading Cards – Added cards, profile backgrounds and emoticons on Steam.

With Rift and Vive support on PC, Sublevel Zero Redux is now an incredible VR experience too. A cockpit space shooter with unparalleled freedom of movement, Sublevel Zero Redux takes on a whole new life, and offers the deep, long-form gameplay VR users crave. So strap on your headset and get some VR 6DoF action!
Lead programmer Dr Luke Thompson says “We created the first outline of Sublevel Zero at a game jam, as a love letter to games we grew up with like Descent and Forsaken. Since then an amazing community has formed around the game, and we’re so pleased to be able to bring back the console content for free as a thank you to the gamers who have supported us all the way.”

Sublevel Zero Redux is a hardcore roguelite 6DoF shooter. Take control of a lone gunship pilot whose mission is to loot and craft ancient technology. Descend into a vast underground facility, fighting through procedurally generated zero gravity environments to recover the technology you and your clan need to survive.

The retro gravity-defying combat is driven by modern looting and crafting mechanics. Battle through a wide range of environments, from industrial zones to mining caverns. Salvage tech from enemies and craft dozens of weapons and upgrades to suit your play style. Unlock items, blueprints, levels and even elite enemies for subsequent play-throughs to maintain your progression.

Sublevel Zero Redux will launch on the Oculus Store on July 13th, simultaneously with the update and VR support coming to Steam, GOG and Humble for existing Sublevel Zero players and new owners alike. The price will remain at USD14.99.
