Upcoming platformer introduces unique screen mechanics, merging fun with extreme difficulty.
Mike is a decent man. An ordinary one, you might say. But he is no pushover when it comes to capturing the enchanted hat from his nemesis, Divider.
Swaps and Traps is a fun little platform game for PC gamers, who are willing to challenge their action skills as well as their eyes and necks. Divider’s hat changes everything, including the position and direction of the screen. Mike’s only hope is to collect the cursed keys, and catch Divider through different locations and traps.
Magic 100
Swaps and Traps is a little box of challenge, but it is also a full bundle of joy. This difficult platformer has 3 worlds with more than 100 levels including some insane ones. As you collect a key in a scene, you also trigger the main trap of the game. Portions of your screen will swap, turn and even flip horizontally and vertically to give you one unique adventure.
There are also more than 100 challenging achievements. But keep in mind that some of those might be just for the top players, considering how high the default difficulty of Swaps and Traps already is. Dare to test your platformer skills?
Swaps in November
Swaps and Traps is based on a jam idea of the development team back in 2010 during Global Game Jam. We all know GGJ is not a competition, but it’s still impressive that Swaps and Traps was selected among top 10 games out of 900 by GGJ editors that year. It is great to see how indie ideas from collaborative events can turn out to be full productions on major platforms.
The launch date is not announced yet, but the team says Swaps and Traps will most probably be available on Steam in November. You can already add it to your wishlist on Steam.
