The British Championship tournament, which ran through September 20, had players compete individually or team with friends to battle other real-world players in tier-3 to tier-6 aircraft. The Championship’s most-used warplane was the British Supermarine Spitfire MK.I, which debuted during special in-game events commemorating the Battle of Britain. The iconic Spitfire, known for its sleek lines and distinctive elliptical wing design, was England’s top performing fighter plane during the early part of the war and played a crucial role over the skies of Dunkirk and the Battle of Britain.

The U.S. P-40B Lightning and the Soviet Yak-7b round out the most popular Allied aircraft selected during the the British Championship, with the Messerschmitt Bf-109E4 proving to be the favorite German fighter plane.

War Wings is a free-to-play mobile title that features real-time 4v4 online aerial dogfighting action with stunning 3D graphics. The game simulates World War II air combat with a dedicated adherence to historical accuracy, technical detail, and real-life flight dynamics. Players acquire and upgrade authentic WWII-era warplanes as they compete against other pilots from around the world for PvP air supremacy!
