Assetto Corsa Competizione, the official GT World Challenge racing game, is once again hosting The Real Race – Super Trofeo Esports Season in collaboration with Lamborghini, publisher 505 Games, and developer KUNOS Simulazioni. This thrilling competition invites drivers from around the world to compete for the opportunity to become Lamborghini esports brand ambassadors in their respective regions, as well as to drive the renowned Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2 car.
The competition is divided into three regions: Europe, North & South America (NALA), and Asia-Pacific (APAC). Drivers from the EU region will participate in a four-round online racing series, preceded by a hotstint competition before each standalone racing event. On the other hand, the NALA and APAC regions will have a single hotstint qualification each, followed by a Regional Final featuring the top 24 drivers from each region.
An exciting addition to this season is the opportunity for aspiring esports talents to showcase their skills live, on-site at select world-famous racing venues across Europe. The Fanatec Arena, situated alongside the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS racing paddock, will allow members of the public to experience cutting-edge racing simulations. The fastest driver from each event will earn a wildcard entry into The Real Race – Super Trofeo Esports Grand Final.
The upcoming on-site locations for the European events are the Circuit of Spa-Francorchamps on July 2nd and the Nürburgring on July 29th. The culmination of the European competition will take place on Sunday, July 30th, where 24 qualifiers from both digital and in-person events will compete at the renowned Nürburgring Grand Prix Circuit. The winner of this competition will have the prestigious opportunity to become a factory driver in the new Automobili Lamborghini Esports Team.
The NALA finals will be held virtually on Saturday, September 2nd, while the APAC finals will take place on Wednesday, September 6th. The winners from each region will join the Lamborghini family as brand representatives within championships held in their own regions.
