If you’re a Unity developer for the Vive VR platform, you’ve struggled with the process for creating and testing multiple inputs for the headset. With the Vive Input Class, we put all the inputs in one place and made it easy to reconfigure and simplify your inputs!
The Vive Input Class is designed to ease the coding required for input for the HTC Vive VR system. We’ve created a class that works similarly to the input classes for Oculus and Unity, allowing you to call it from any script. We’ve also provided controls for haptics and D-pad functionality.
Features include:
- Call input from any class in your project.
- Detect multi-state inputs from controllers – left, right, or both.
- Generate haptics – adjust power and duration on either/both of the controllers.
- Detect directional clicks on the Vive controllers’ touchpads.
