Once in a while, interactive entertainment content surfs the line between politically correct and realism which can sometimes fuel controversy.

Snackable (30 minutes) visual novel “Class of 09” offers a retro look at the Millennial 2000’s generation with no filter and addresses sex, drugs, bullying, and other social themes in a narrative comedy with high-value production (Top shelf – voice acting).

Developer SBN3 has announced that the anti-visual novel rejection simulator Class of ‘09 will launch on January 6th, 2022, for Android devices. The darkest black comedy in the history of gaming is currently available on PC via Steam. In Class of ‘09, players take on the role of Nicole, a no-filter high school sophomore who verbally destroys her potential suitors all while consistently contemplating death, drug abuse, and the usual emo MySpace fare. After Nicole’s father commits suicide and her slacker brother gets the family evicted for pirating breakbeat mixtapes, she’s forced to attend yet another high school somewhere in the DC area. Class of ‘09’s fully voice-acted lines and 15 unique endings entice players to explore branching paths to discover each character’s personality and, on occasion, their gruesome demise.
