Assemble Entertainment Awarded ‘Best Publisher’ 2020 and Jessika wins the ‘Innovation Award’

Publisher Assemble Entertainment is thrilled to announce that on the evening of 20th January 2021, the young publisher based in Wiesbaden won the ‘Best Publisher’ award at the German Developer Awards 2020, which, together with the German Computer Game Award, is the most important accolade in video game development for German-speaking countries.

Developer TriTrie Games also took home the ‘Innovation Award’ for the extraordinary FMV adventure game ‘Jessika’, released by Assemble last August. Chief developer Seren Besorak and his team are overjoyed with this award and the appreciation of their debut title Jessika. The ‘Innovation Award’ is a special prize from the City of Cologne and comes with €2,000 in prize money. Seren Besorak has already confirmed that the prize money will be invested in the next project and says: “We wouldn’t have made it this far without the support of our great network in Cologne and NRW.” Assemble offers its heartfelt congratulations to the young development team at TriTrie Games.

Jessika is an emotional gaming experience with surprising twists packed into a mysterious story around the suicide of the young woman Jessika.

“All of us at Assemble are overwhelmed to win at the German Developer Awards for the second and third time after only four years (and our surprise win in 2017 for the best marketing campaign). Both the innovation award for Jessika, but of course especially the award for “Best Publisher” are indescribably important for us and show in an impressive way that we are already one of the key players in the German games industry after such a short time.” – Stefan Marcinek, CEO & Founder Assemble Entertainment

The award-winning publisher also released an exclusive trailer at the German Developer Awards for the award winning strategy hit Endzone – A World Apart, which will leave Early Access in spring. The survival city builder developed by gentlymad studios was nominated for the ‘German Developer Award’ in the category ‘Best Indie Game’. Currently in the Early Access phase, over 150,000 units have been sold on Steam and GOG. In addition to ‘Endzone – A World Apart’, the Lovecraft text adventure game ‘The Innsmouth Case‘ by RobotPumpkin Games was a nominee in the category ‘Best Mobile Game’. The award-winning publisher Assemble Entertainment thus entered the race for the German Developer Awards with a total of four nominations, winning ‘Best Publisher’ and the ‘Innovation Award’ for Jessika.
