Atari Partners with Dreams Uncorporated for Lunar Lander Remake
Atari, renowned for its contributions to the gaming industry, has recently announced its collaboration with Dreams Uncorporated, an award-winning indie game studio, to develop a new game based on the beloved 1970s classic Lunar Lander. The modern adaptation, titled “Lunar Lander: Beyond,” is set to be released in 2023 on PC and consoles, adding simulation elements, a compelling narrative, and precise gravity flier mechanics to the original formula.

In Lunar Lander: Beyond, players assume the role of a newly appointed captain in the esteemed Pegasus Corporation. Their mission entails leading a diverse crew of intrepid explorers, along with their state-of-the-art landers, through a series of demanding missions. From delivering vital cargo and extracting valuable resources to executing daring rescues, players must navigate the vast cosmos, traversing enigmatic moons and captivating planets. Atari CEO, Wade Rosen, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “Dreams Uncorporated has a unique vision that transforms Lunar Lander into a game with a meaningful back story and deep, modern gameplay.” The Colombian-based studio gained recognition in 2021 with the release of their critically acclaimed game, Cris Tales. The title paid homage to classic JRPGs and boasted vibrant 2D animation that captivated players worldwide.
