World of Warcraft and World of Warcraft Classic players can make a difference in Ukraine’s humanitarian crisis
Blizzard Entertainment, the renowned creator of the massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) World of Warcraft, is proud to announce a partnership with Ukrainian-born actress and producer, Mila Kunis, and BlueCheck Ukraine for an exclusive charity pet program.
BlueCheck Ukraine, co-founded by actor and activist Liev Schreiber in 2022, is dedicated to identifying, vetting, and providing urgent financial support to Ukrainian NGOs and aid initiatives engaged in life-saving and critical humanitarian work amidst Russia’s war on Ukraine. Leveraging their proximity, local expertise, and access, BlueCheck aims to assist those facing dire circumstances, but they can’t do it alone.
In an effort to support BlueCheck’s essential work, Blizzard Entertainment is delighted to collaborate with Mila Kunis for the World of Warcraft Pet Pack for Ukraine. Starting from July 25th until August 29th, players can access the exclusive Pet Pack for Ukraine on World of Warcraft or through the Battle.net shop for just USD $20, with all proceeds contributing to funding BlueCheck’s initiatives in aiding war victims.
Mila Kunis expressed her commitment to the cause, stating, “The people of Ukraine are in desperate need, and BlueCheck does incredible work in providing resources quickly to local groups, including medical assistance, humanitarian aid, and everything in between. The World of Warcraft community is the first gaming community I was ever a part of, with strangers who didn’t care who or what I was–I know how giving they can be, and what they can achieve when we work together. I’m proud to be making a difference to countless lives in Ukraine alongside them.”
BlueCheck co-founder, Liev Schreiber, emphasized the continuous need for humanitarian aid in Ukraine since the war began. He expressed gratitude towards the World of Warcraft community, stating, “BlueCheck directly supports vetted NGOs doing the work where it’s needed, and we are thankful to the World of Warcraft community for helping us to help them. BlueCheck allows us to make a meaningful difference to the courageous and resilient people of Ukraine, and every dollar donated through the purchase of the Pet Pack for Ukraine will allow us to continue that work.”

The Pet Pack for Ukraine consists of two pets designed with the colors of the Ukrainian flag:
- Sunny – a golden retriever pet for World of Warcraft characters
- Flurky – a murloc pet holding a sunflower (the national flower of Ukraine) for World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Classic™ characters
Throughout the duration of the Pet Pack for Ukraine program, players will also have the option to make a donation of their choice to BlueCheck Ukraine during checkout via Battle.net while making a digital World of Warcraft purchase. This additional option allows players who wish to support the initiative without purchasing the Pet Pack for Ukraine to contribute in their own way.
