Hold onto your controllers, G-LYFE Nation! DreadXP’s Indie Horror Showcase just became the talk of the gaming world with a juicy update on the much-hyped RPG, Cabernet. Developed by Party for Introverts, the game took the virtual stage at SXSW Sydney to drop its Halloween trailer, showcasing some Grade-A vocal chops.
Voice Cast Revealed: BDG Enters the Vampiric Stage
Known for his performances in Starfield, Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake, and Dimension 20, Brian David Gilbert is stepping into the supernatural world of Cabernet. He’s lending his voice to Petya, a dollmaker whose soul is entangled in a web of self-inflicted darkness. Samantha Béart, the fan-favorite voice from Baldur’s Gate 3, also joins the fray as Alisa, an icy vampiress. And get this, Hannah Khalique-Brown, who you might recognize from Growing Up Skipper, will voice Gosia, a humanistic revolutionary.
More than Just Fangs and Blood
The new trailer didn’t just offer us a peek at the high-caliber voice talent; it also zoomed into the game’s core mechanics and setting. Cabernet is an emotion-driven RPG set in 19th-century Eastern Europe, featuring young vampire Liza and her escapades. If you dig dialogue-driven gameplay, this one’s got your name all over it.
Additional Voices to Raise the Stakes
Wait, the voice-over party doesn’t end here. German Segal, known for The Undeclared War, will voice Kolya, Liza’s brother. And let’s not forget Ben Potter of Yogscast and Triple Jump fame; he’ll voice Evgeny, a poet with charisma to spare.
Creators Feeling the Hype
The people behind Party for Introverts are beyond thrilled. Arseniy Klishin and Laura Gray stated, “Cabernet is absolutely dripping with incredible voice talent.” Clearly, they value the voice-over work as a cornerstone of their game development.
