ININ Games has announced the release of Cannon Dancer, also known as Osman in the West, on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. The game will be available both digitally and physically on April 13th, 2023, with a digital release for Xbox on the same date. This marks the return of the game nearly 30 years after its original arcade debut in 1996.

To bring the game to modern home consoles, ININ Games collaborated with two key members of the original development team: game designer Kouichi Yotsui, also known as “Isuke,” famous for his work on “Strider,” and artist Utata Kiyoshi. ININ’s development team focused on delivering the best version of Cannon Dancer, adding features and enhancements not found in the original arcade game. The updated version of the game can be played in English or the original Japanese language, with both options available in standard and challenge modes.

The main enhancements introduced in this new version of Cannon Dancer include:

  • Save States
  • Rewind Feature
  • Controller Vibration
  • Customizable Controls
  • Graphic Filters & Shaders
  • Double Jump
  • Invincible Jump
  • Invincible Slide
  • Invincible Attack
  • Auto Attack [Speed 1 – 5]
  • Extra Credits

This release gives a new generation of players the opportunity to experience one of the rarest games in arcade history, complete with a brand-new translation and a range of enhanced features to improve the gameplay experience.
