Revisiting the Classic with New Localization

Developed by Alfa System and Cosmo Machia, Castle of Shikigami 2 represents a digital rework of a true classic in the shooting genre. The Western game cards for Castle of Shikigami 2 will feature fresh localizations in French, Italian, and Spanish, specifically crafted for the physical release.

Availability and Editions

Scheduled to launch in Q2 2024, the Western release will come in both ESRB and PEGI-rated physical Nintendo Switch versions. Three unique editions will grace the markets:

  1. Standard Edition ($39.99/€39.99): Available everywhere post-launch.
  2. Deluxe Edition (300 PEGI-rated copies, RedArtGames.com exclusive, €39.99): Contains a copy of the game with reversible cover art, an exclusive sleeve inspired by the 128-bit Japanese versions, and a set of three Castle of Shikigami 2 tokens reminiscent of Japanese arcades.
  3. Dream Edition (500 PEGI-rated copies, €69.99): Includes a retro-style box, a copy of the game with reversible cover art, an exclusive sleeve, a double-sided poster featuring art from the original Arcade flyer, the Castle of Shikigami 2 Original Soundtrack CD, and an acrylic stand.

The special editions were created using original assets from Alfa System’s archives, used previously for Japan-only releases in the early 2000s.

Gamers eager to secure their copy can pre-order all three European versions from Red Art Games’ official online store. The Standard American version is available for pre-order from VGP’s online store.
