Paradox Interactive and Colossal Order are set to expand the world of Cities: Skylines II, the follow-up to the popular city-builder game, with the introduction of a new asset pack titled Beach Properties, slated for release on March 25, 2024. This release is significant as it also marks the debut of the first stage of in-game modding options for Cities: Skylines II, enhancing the creative possibilities for players and creators alike.
Beach Properties Asset Pack Details
The Beach Properties pack will introduce new coastal-themed content, enabling players to design and manage beachfront real estate within their cities. Priced at $9.99/£8.49/€9.99, this pack will be available for purchase on PC. Additionally, it can be obtained through the Cities: Skylines II Waterfronts Expansion Pass or the Ultimate Edition, offering more integrated options for game expansion.
Introduction of Modding Capabilities
Accompanying the asset pack, Cities: Skylines II will launch its Modding Beta, providing an in-game editor for creating or implementing Map or Code mods. This feature aims to facilitate a more integrated and accessible modding experience, leveraging the Paradox Mods platform to allow for local play and global sharing of user-generated content. Players will be able to discover, curate, and organize mods into Playsets for easier access, with further asset modding tools expected to release later in the year.
