Scarlet Moon, in collaboration with Konami Digital Entertainment (KONAMI) and WayForward, has officially announced Yuko Komiyama and Norihiko Hibino as the lead composers for the upcoming game, Contra: Operation Galuga. Set to launch on March 12, this new addition to the Contra franchise promises to bring a fresh auditory experience to the classic run-‘n’-gun action series. The game, co-developed by KONAMI and WayForward, aims to blend the essence of the original with modern enhancements.

Yuko Komiyama’s role focuses on creating the main score, incorporating a blend of high-intensity orchestral sounds with familiar Contra melodies, designed to resonate with both new and long-standing fans of the series. Norihiko Hibino brings his expertise to the thrilling boss battle music, aiming to inject each encounter with an explosive auditory experience. Ahead of the game’s release, a music preview trailer offers fans a glimpse into the updated soundtrack. The game also expands the cooperative play feature, supporting up to two players in Story Mode and four players in Arcade Mode.
Players will step into the boots of elite commandos Bill Rizer and Lance Bean to take on the Red Falcon terrorist group, which has transformed the Galuga Islands into a battleground.
