World Makers has officially relaunched the PC version of their social deduction game, Deceit 2, today, shifting to a free-to-play model. This strategic move is designed to draw more players into the game’s thrilling environment. The game’s debut on PlayStation and Xbox is scheduled for April 3rd, alongside the release of its first DLC, the Werewolf Pack, which introduces new content including a terror, player role, item, and map.
Game Dynamics and New Features
Deceit 2 invites players into a suspenseful world where trust is thin. Players are divided into groups, with some infected by a malevolent force. The innocent must identify the infected among them to survive, while a new faction, the Cursed, adds complexity to the social fabric of the game. The Werewolf Pack DLC brings the Wyrtorn Terror, a formidable werewolf terror, alongside a new role, The Chemist, and a new map, Project Wurgen, known for its dark history of experiments.
Appreciation for Early Supporters
James Thompson, CEO of World Makers, acknowledged the challenging decision to transition to a free-to-play model. To honor early supporters, the company is offering the Werewolf DLC, 3 Crypt Keys, in-game currency, and a Season One Pass for free to players who purchased the game before this transition.

Deceit 2 introduces a seasonal model with the launch of “Humble Beginnings,” the first season starting April 3rd. It promises new skins, loading screens, and other rewards. An Easter-themed event is also on the horizon. Seasons, occurring bi-monthly, aim to keep the game fresh with continuous updates and rewards.
