Bring Home the Trophy in Bassmaster Fishing 2022’s ‘Bassmaster Royale’ Mode when it Releases on Oct. 28

Dovetail Games, developer and publisher of authentic sports simulation titles, today revealed their multiplayer plans for Bassmaster Fishing 2022, the upcoming sports fishing title and the official video game, ahead of the titles released in North America and Europe for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 home computer entertainment system, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One family of devices including the Xbox One X, and Windows PC via Steam in North America and Europe on October 28th, 2021. Bassmaster Fishing 2022 is available for pre-order now on PlayStation with a standard edition available for $39.99 / €34.99 / £29.99 and a Digital Deluxe Edition available for $44.99 / €39.99 / £34.99, discounted 10% for PS Plus Members and on PC via Steam.

Bassmaster Fishing 2022 brings angling aficionados together no matter what mode they play or what platform they play on, with full support for multiplayer Cross-Play across all platforms so anglers can compete against each other, or relax together. Enjoy a lazy Sunday afternoon fishing the Sabine River or on the relaxing waters of Chickamauga Lake with friends in a non-competitive environment, exploring the waters for the ideal fishing spots, enjoying the scenery while waiting for a bite on the line, or showing off custom characters and their unique outfits.

‘Bassmaster Royale’ is the new, adrenaline-pumping mode coming to the fishing space for the first time, challenging players to find hot spots and catch more fish than other anglers. Players will need to stay above the ‘cut line’, a moving target setting a minimum combined weight of all fish caught to remain in the competition, to avoid being eliminated during the four culling events that take place throughout the match. Players will need to keep their eyes on the leaderboards to avoid being culled if their hauls don’t meet the ‘cut line’ as the match progresses.

Anglers will begin their competitions in one of three different spots, where they’ll need to quickly race to their favorite fishing hot spot to start hooking bass while keeping an eye out for other anglers trying to muscle in on their territory. Moving locations can waste precious time, but can pay dividends if other anglers are packed closely together and competing for the same bass. Those who don’t make the cut during culling events will be eliminated and will have to try their luck again, while the angler with the highest combined weight of their catch at the end of the four culling events is declared the Bassmaster Royale Champion!

Post-launch, the Dovetail Games team has exciting plans to bring new modes to multiplayer so players can fish against others to be the Bassmaster Classic champion online, or where they can become the angler of the month in the global Dovetail Fishing League!
