Forza Horizon 5 Unveils Official PC Specifications

Today, at Tokyo Game Show 2021, Xbox and Forza Horizon 5 unveiled the title’s recommended PC specs, peripheral support (including some of the most popular steering wheels) as detailed via Xbox Wire and on FM.net.

As shown in the infographic below, Forza Horizon on PC will look and play fantastic across a range of PC hard configurations on both Windows 10 and Windows 11.

Additionally, Mike Brown, Creative Director of Forza Horizon 5 at and Ben Thaker-Fell, Principal Game Designer from Playground Games showcased a demo on the new Surface devices. Players can explore Mexico beginning on November 9th, 2021 when Forza Horizon 5 releases for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC on Windows and Steam, and Xbox Game Pass including console, PC, and Cloud Gaming (Beta) with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (where available).

By introducing all-new, powerful graphical features, Forza Horizon 5 on PC renders every detail throughout the world with stunning realism, down to the tiniest features like the light that glows through each needle on a Cholla cactus. With extreme draw distances and robust levels of detail, experience sweeping panoramas from the summit of the Gran Caldera volcano – the highest point ever in a Forza Horizon game – and scan the distance ahead to prepare for your next expedition.

Here are the PC specs and, as you can see, they broke down the requirements based on different gameplay scenarios across both Nvidia and AMD setups. To deliver the best possible experience to all PC players, they have updated their minimum specifications from the previous estimate given on the Microsoft Store and Steam.

Forza Horizon 5 is built from the ground up on PC to deliver the open road in extraordinary detail at limitless speeds. What’s more, the game is fitted with a vast array of graphics settings to tweak and adjust the experience as you see fit. Unlock the framerate, crank up the visuals to 4K, enable HDR for more luminous lighting, or expand the field of view.

The PC version of Forza Horizon 5 also supports 21:9 ultrawide displays for further immersion, as well as the most popular steering wheels from Logitech, Thrustmaster, and Fanatec.

Additionally, haptic feedback on the Xbox Wireless Controller is supported by all versions of Forza Horizon 5, including Steam for the first time!

The developers have also brought raytracing to Forzavista, our signature car exploration mode that lets you get up close to every vehicle in spectacular realism. Open the doors, hood, or trunk, inspect the engine and sit inside to rev it before driving out. By leveraging raytracing technology in Forza Horizon 5, they not only given true-to-life reflections across hundreds of cars in Forzavista, but also intensified audio throughout the world by accurately mapping how the sounds of your car bounce between different environments.
