ESDigital Games Partners with Lofty Sky Entertainment
In a strategic partnership, ESDigital Games and Lofty Sky Entertainment have teamed up to publish the graphic novel adventure, Shuyan Saga, for consoles. The game is scheduled for release on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on September 22nd, 2023.
The World of Shuyan Saga
Set in an ancient Chinese martial arts universe, Shuyan Saga narrates the story of rebellious Princess Shuyan. She sets out on a transformative journey to become a Kung Fu disciple and halt the evil Guer horde from obliterating the Five Kingdoms.
Cast and Features
Canadian actress Kristin Kreuk, known for her roles in Smallville and Beauty and the Beast, takes on the main character of Shuyan. The game combines over 1,400 breathtaking art panels with gripping 3D action combat. It includes more than 300 combat animations, modeled from the motion-captured Kung-Fu techniques of Shifu Longfei Yang, Master of the Shanxi Praying Mantis Style.
Daxiong, a renowned Chinese comic book artist, contributes to the visually stunning artwork of Shuyan Saga. He has previously worked on Dark Horse’s Star Wars comic and Justice League for DC. Complementing the artwork is an original soundtrack composed by the award-winning composer Aaron Tsang.
Shuyan Saga: Previous Releases and Enhancements
Originally launched for PC, iOS, and Android platforms in 2017, Shuyan Saga has been re-imagined for console release. This version offers optimized combat controls and additional language support, including French, Italian, German, Spanish, Brazilian, and Korean.
