Level Infinite has detailed its plans for the first-ever Honor of Kings Invitational Season 1 (S1), scheduled from March 2 to March 10, 2024, at the Grand Pera Emek Sahnesi Theater in Istanbul, Turkiye. This event marks the beginning of the Honor of Kings Global Invitational Series, a new esports circuit aimed at enhancing the game’s competitive scene on an international scale. The tournament will feature live broadcasts across multiple platforms including YouTube, Facebook, Twitch.tv, and the official Honor of Kings website, bringing together eight top teams from across the globe to compete for a substantial $300,000 USD prize pool and a spot in the next season’s invitational.

Teams and Tournament Structure

The participating teams hail from a diverse set of countries, showcasing the global appeal of Honor of Kings. Competitors include:

  • Besiktas Esports Turkiye
  • FUT KAOS from Turkiye
  • IW WRX, also from Turkiye
  • Major Pride from Kazakhstan
  • Stalwart Esports from the UAE
  • Twisted Minds from Saudi Arabia
  • Vivo Keyd Stars from Brazil

The tournament’s structure is designed to test the mettle of these teams across several stages, beginning with the Group Stage from March 2-5, followed by the Quarterfinals on March 7-8, the Semi-Finals on March 9, and culminating in the Finals on March 10.

Commitment to Esports Growth

James Yang, Senior Director of Level Infinite Global Esports Center at Tencent Games, expressed enthusiasm for the event’s role in the broader strategy to expand the Honor of Kings esports ecosystem. This initiative includes a $15M USD investment aimed at fostering the game’s esports scene internationally. Additionally, the announcement highlighted the game’s recent updates and expansion, including its launch on Android and iOS platforms in new regions such as the Middle East, North Africa, Turkiye, Eastern Europe, and South Asia, alongside its inclusion in the upcoming Esports World Cup this summer.
