Infinite Lagrange’s Full Revamp: Faster and More Tactical Space Battles

Infinite Lagrange Reveals Full Revamp For Faster and More Tactical Space Battles

Infinite Lagrange, the popular space strategy game, is set to undergo a full revamp this June, promising faster and more tactical space battles. With the theme “A New Chapter of Lagrange Network Begins,” the game’s strategic features, including Org Command, Personal Combat, and Personal Development, will be improved over time. The updates will provide players with an enhanced gaming experience and take space battles to a whole new level. Let’s explore the exciting new features and changes that Infinite Lagrange’s revamp has in store.

Optimized Warp Mechanics For Faster Rally Operations & More Flexible Org Commands

One of the most significant updates in this expansion is the optimization of the Warp Mechanics for Org Operations. The new mechanics consist of two types of operations: Command Operations and Rally Operations. These changes allow Orgs (organizations within the game) to choose different types of operations based on their strategic goals, enabling them to employ tactics more flexibly and efficiently.

The Rally Operations emphasize quick reinforcements. When a Rally Operation Area consists of a certain number of fleets from the Org, the entire Org can access the warp coordinates of this area, enabling Org members’ fleets to warp to the operation area quickly. This enhancement significantly improves the pacing of combat, making it a fast and efficient tool for supporting offensive or defensive operations.

On the other hand, the Command Operations emphasize centralized commands. Org members can assign their fleets to the Org Operation Area, granting the Org Commander centralized control over them. Unlike the previous Delegate mechanics, the new Command Operations allow Org members to deposit Action Points when assigning their fleets. The Commander can then use these Action Points to execute major commands such as Transfer, Blockade, and Guard. Furthermore, the Commander can even send these fleets to the operation areas of other Explorers or Orgs.

The new mechanics make it easier for Commanders to communicate, collaborate, and implement tactical plans. The centralized control over Action Points and various map commands empowers Commanders to make more complex plans and execute unpredictable tactics that adapt to the evolving situation. Explorers can also contribute to their Org by assigning fleets to other operation areas, even if they don’t have the time to participate actively.

New Action and Deployment Mechanics, More Flexible and Streamlined Combat

In addition to the improvements to the Org Command for collective actions, the revamp introduces new features that enhance individual Explorers’ operations and combat. The Squadron feature allows Explorers to deploy squadrons in buildings and carry out operations as their home port. Ships in squadrons do not take up the base’s maximum Command Points and hangar capacity. Furthermore, moored squadrons counterattack when the buildings are under attack, providing additional defensive capabilities. The Squadron feature enables Explorers to form and match fleets more flexibly, offering strategic options when defending bases or buildings.

Another notable addition is the Multi-Node Warp feature, which allows long-distance travel via warping between multiple nodes. Explorers can pre-set transit nodes en route to their destination, simplifying the process of Warp Drive travel. They can spend the required Action Points in one go, streamlining the travel experience.

Improved Mining and Ship Production for Faster and More Efficient Personal Development

Strategic actions, including Org Commands, fleet deployments, and combat, will now consume resources and require higher levels of base construction. The revamp also introduces improvements and adjustments to Explorers’ personal development mechanics. One significant change is the removal of restrictions on the scale of resource node mining. Previously, only one Utility Ship could be dispatched to mine at each resource node. This limitation affected resource collection efficiency, especially in areas with poor resource distribution. With the removal of this restriction, Explorers can now send multiple Utility Ships to mine at the same resource node, allowing for more efficient resource collection and rapid development. Additionally, the new Utility Ship Management feature makes it more convenient for Explorers to mobilize their Utility Ships and easily monitor their usage.

The revamp also introduces the Shipyard Pre-selection Feature, which enhances ship production. Explorers can now pre-select ships of varying models and add them to the production queue without deducting resources in advance. This flexibility enables Explorers to produce different types of ships according to their needs, allowing them to build a powerful fleet capable of adapting to the ever-changing battlefield.

Overall, the updates in the Infinite Lagrange revamp are focused on improving the quality of life for Explorers and enhancing the gameplay experience. The optimized Warp Mechanics, Command Operations, and Rally Operations provide greater depth and versatility in strategic decision-making. The Squadron and Multi-Node Warp features introduce new tactical possibilities and streamline combat. Additionally, the improvements to mining and ship production mechanics offer faster and more efficient personal development.

Ethan Wang, Senior Vice President of NetEase Inc., expressed the company’s commitment to delivering exceptional gaming experiences and innovation. He stated that the revamp of Infinite Lagrange marks the beginning of a new chapter in the Lagrange Network, and players can expect more content, features, and adventures in the future.
