Inside Xbox — April 2019 News Highlights

Inside Xbox is a way for the Xbox team to host a livestream announcing different types of news from hardware to games. In the April 2019 episodes of Inside Xbox, there were some big announcements — from a new Xbox One console to an Xbox Game Pass. Below are the top highlights of the show.

Xbox One S All-Digital Edition
The Xbox One S All-Digital Edition is the latest console coming for the gamers, making it the newest member of the Xbox One console device. This console is basically the Xbox One S without the disc drive. This is the console for gamers who prefer to play their games in an all digital format. It’ll be available on May 7th and can be pre-ordered today with the price of $249.99 USD.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate combines the Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Live Gold in one single price. For one convenient membership of $14.99 USD a month, you’ll be able to access the full Xbox Game Pass library of over 100 games and the ability to play online with those games with the Xbox Live Gold online multiplayer.

ELEAGUE Gears Summer Series
With a partnership with ELEAGUE, Xbox announced there will be a six-part event series called “ELEAGUE Gears Summer Series: The Bonds and Betrayals of Brotherhood.” It will feature a live tournament focused on the stories and the players behind the world of Gears Esports. The first episode will debut on TBS, Friday, June 14th at 11:00 PM. The ELEAGUE will also debut Gears 5 multiplayer sometime during the show.

Backwards Compatible Games with Xbox One X Enhancements
New Xbox One Backwards compatible games were revealed Ninja Gaiden 2, Fable 2, Fable 3, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Blacklist, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction, and Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Double Agent will be able to be played and will also be enhanced for the Xbox One X.

Game Bar on PC Upgrade
The Game Bar on Windows 10 is getting a major update. The Game Bar will now have Spotify integration and also provide a way to see what your friends are playing. You can send a quick text or voice chat, and even create memes to share on Twitter. The overlay will be customizable and is built into Windows so it’ll work over any PC game.

Xbox FanFest At E3 2019
FanFest lead Chris Munson announced that E3 2019 will be their biggest E3 presence ever, and there will be 700 tickets available for the E3 FanFest. Fans attending will be able to experience the Xbox Briefing, be hands-on with upcoming games, enjoy some swag, and much more. It’ll begin Sunday, June 9th and concludes on June 10th. Ticketing will go live Friday, April 19th at 9:00 AM PST.

Big Things from New Studios Coming in E3 2019
At the end of Inside Xbox, head of Xbox Phil Spencer took the screen saying that their newly acquired studios will have new things to show that nobody has seen before.
