KOEI TECMO and BBGames have released an all-new story trailer for the updating multiplayer strategy game New Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Following the release of the live-action trailer and pre-registration page, the game creators wanted to begin showing the setting and story players can expect to experience in the game. The game will be arriving for iOS and Android users this November.
As a long-standing franchise, Romance of the Three Kingdoms has become representative of the Japanese game culture and has thrilled strategy fans in Japan and across the globe since it’s premiere in 1985. Staying true to its historical roots and PC predecessors, New Romance of the Three Kingdoms will give anime and strategy fans alike will a plethora of things to enjoy with a rich art style and engaging tactical combat.
New Romance of the Three Kingdoms follows the classic story of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms tale, deeply rooted in China’s history beginning with the starting with the Yellow Turban Rebellion that erupted in 184 AD. Determined to change their lives for the better, the followers of Zhang Bao revolted, sending a ripple effect throughout the country. The rebellion spurned the action of the noted warlords of the time to band together to defeat the rebellion.
The end of the Yellow Turban Rebellion was only the beginning of a time wrought with feuding warlords. Lasting over 30 years, the Romance of the Three Kingdoms story follows a tumultuous time in history where glory was sought at all costs. Players will see all the famous characters of the time such as Lu Bu, Guan Yu, Cao Cao, Liu Bei, and Zhuge Liang, with the battles that led the kingdoms of Wu, Wei, and Shu to fight for domination of China.
Players can pre-register for the upcoming mobile game by heading to the pre-registration site and submitting their information. Once submitted players will receive a gift code for their pre-registration, which can be used once the game has launched on iOS and Android.
