Amazon Games has released the first season of their popular MMORPG, New World, called Fellowship & Fire. Lasting approximately three months, this season introduces new narratives, challenges, seasonal activities, rewards, and more for players to explore.
Fellowship & Fire follows the Silver Crows, an elite mercenary group, as they are hired by Skye the Spear-daughter to stop a powerful Warlock and the Varangian horde. The season also introduces a new Level 60+ Expedition called Empyrean Forge, located in the Great Cleave, where players must face the corrupted and prevent the flow of mysterious magic.
New features in Season 1 include:
- Season Pass Reward Track: The Season Pass allows players to earn Season XP, level up, and unlock rewards through seasonal activities. The Free Track is available to all players, while the Premium Reward Track offers additional rewards for players at Level 25 and above.
- Combat Balance Updates: Adjustments have been made to magic and ranged weapon PvE viability, weapon balance in PvP, and equip load balance to improve gameplay and provide a more balanced experience.
- New Seasonal Story: Join the Silver Crows and help Skye the Spear-daughter confront the Warlock and the Varangian horde in the Empyrean Forge.
- Gear Set Storage: Players can now save and switch between their favorite gear sets after reaching level 25, with additional slots available through the Season Pass or by purchasing Marks of Fortune.
- New Heartrune Ability: Fire Storm lets players create a tornado that damages targets in its path, with the ability to craft more powerful versions of the Heartgem for different playstyles.
- New Expedition: Empyrean Forge is a Level 60+ Expedition set in the Great Cleave, where players must stop the flow of elemental magic deep within an Ancient Forge.
- Brightwood and Weaver’s Fen Main Story Questline Revamp: The regional main storyline for these two areas has been overhauled based on player feedback, offering a fresh narrative, more quest variety, and new surprises.
- Improved Level 40 Weapon and Armor Quests: These quests have been updated with new rewards, narratives, and reduced travel and eliminations.
- Compensation Notification: Players will now be able to easily claim special offerings through a new button on the Game Menu, providing better awareness of received items or coin.
With the release of Fellowship & Fire, New World players can look forward to a wealth of new content and updates, enhancing their gaming experience and offering fresh challenges to explore.
