Setting the Scene
The backdrop of Orion Haste is a futuristic setting where the player is cast as a human soldier at the Beta-Orionis Military Base (BOMB), located near the blue supergiant star Rigel in the constellation of Orion. The base, crucial for human survival due to its role as a primary oxygen facility, is under threat from the Ximpeti, an alien race intent on destroying humanity’s oxygen supply to claim the riches of Orion for themselves. The player’s mission is to counter this alien threat and secure humanity’s future in the constellation.
The Mission
Players step into the boots of an unnamed elite human soldier tasked with eradicating the Ximpeti forces. This entails a journey through the Aethra space station and the rogue planet Xim, battling to preserve human dominance in the Orion constellation.

Orion Haste presents players with 7 distinct levels, each offering unique objectives and challenges. The game designers shared insights into the Landing Site level, which serves as the entry point to the Aethra space station.
