OXENFREE II: Lost Signals, A Supernatural Mystery-Thriller Set for Release on July 12th 2023

Night School, a Netflix Game Studio, has announced the launch date for OXENFREE II: Lost Signals, the sequel to the critically-acclaimed supernatural thriller OXENFREE. Set to release on July 12, the game will be available on the Nintendo Switch system, PlayStation 5 & 4, PC, and Mac via STEAM, and Netflix. Taking place five years after the events of the original game, OXENFREE II: Lost Signals introduces an all-new cast of characters and an original story, ensuring a captivating narrative-driven adventure for players.

Sean Krankel, co-founder and studio director at Night School, expressed the studio’s desire to capture the essence and world of the original OXENFREE while presenting players with a brand new story featuring even higher stakes. The sequel has been a labor of love for the development team, and they are eager for players to step into the shoes of protagonist Riley and navigate the life-altering choices and supernatural challenges that lie ahead.

OXENFREE II: Lost Signals follows the story of environmental researcher Riley Poverly, who returns to her hometown of Camena to investigate strange radio frequency signals causing disturbances in electronic equipment. As Riley uncovers a long history of ghostly occurrences on nearby Edwards Island, she becomes embroiled in a terrifying supernatural mystery. The game showcases Night School’s signature naturalistic dialogue system, providing players with an immersive experience that can be shaped in surprising ways.

Upon its launch, OXENFREE II: Lost Signals will offer localized interface and subtitle support for a wide range of languages, including Arabic, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Malay, Norwegian Bokmål, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Portuguese, Romanian, Spanish, Spanish (Spain), Swedish, Turkish, Ukrainian, and Vietnamese.
