Partner Discords: A New Era of Connectivity on Twitch

New and Improved Discord Servers Enhance Collaboration and Community Building for Twitch Partners

Supporting Streamers at Every Stage

Streamers form the backbone of Twitch. The vibrant communities they nurture and the engaging content they create define the essence of Twitch. Twitch’s mission is to provide a platform where streamers can share their passion, build and sustain their community safely, and earn a living doing what they love. Twitch offers an array of programs and resources designed to make live streaming simpler and help streamers achieve their goals. From Creator Camp guides to 24/7 Live Chat support, and promotional opportunities on the homepage to participation in brand campaigns, Twitch is dedicated to supporting streamers at every stage of their journey.

Twitch Community Growth and Evolution

Over the past five years, the Twitch community has experienced remarkable growth. The number of Partners has nearly doubled to over 78,000, Affiliates have expanded more than four times to 3.5 million, and hours watched have more than doubled to 22 billion in 2023. As the community has grown, so has Twitch’s approach to supporting, educating, and engaging creators. The goal is to extend this support to as many streamers as possible. To achieve this, Twitch has increased investment in providing timely responses. Last year, Twitch launched Live Chat for Partners and Affiliates, offering personalized 24/7 support. Live Chat addresses account, payment, or policy-related questions and problems swiftly.

Creating Spaces for Connection

Twitch plays a crucial role in creating spaces for creators to connect. Over the past few years, Twitch has launched and expanded forums and programs to facilitate networking, collaboration, and growth. Local Meet Ups, regional Discord servers, and the Twitch Ambassadors program are all part of Twitch’s initiatives to bring Partners together and build communities based on shared interests, locations, and languages.

Empowering Underserved Communities

Last year, Twitch introduced Unity Guilds, which have grown to include over 1,600 Partners and Affiliates across the Twitch Black, Women, and Hispanic Guilds. These Guilds were established to empower historically underserved communities, providing opportunities for collaboration, development, and celebration. Members have shared that the connections formed within the Guilds have been instrumental to their Twitch experience. The success of the Guilds and regional Discord servers has inspired Twitch to explore more opportunities for large-scale community building among Partners.

Introducing New and Improved Partner Discords

Twitch is excited to announce the launch and update of Partner Discords, offering a dedicated space for Partners to connect and build communities. Nine servers will be supported across seven languages and regions to create more opportunities for collaboration:

  • English-language North America
  • English-language Asia Pacific
  • English-language Europe, Middle East, and Africa
  • Spanish
  • German
  • French
  • Japanese
  • Traditional Chinese
  • Portuguese

Previously, Twitch maintained Partner-only Discords in several regions, but they did not always provide a consistent experience across languages. By organizing the servers around shared languages, Twitch aims to unlock new collaboration opportunities. Many Partners are multilingual or have a significant portion of their community in another country. Therefore, there is no limit on the number of Discords a Partner can join, allowing participation in the communities that best meet their needs.

In addition to fostering connections and collaboration, these channels will be used to share relevant updates, gather feedback, and highlight new opportunities for Partners. To learn more about the Partner Discord servers, including how to join, server guidelines, and FAQs, visit the help page or Creator Home.

Continued Support from Twitch

Twitch remains committed to supporting streamers throughout their journey. Twitch takes pride in cheering for them in chat, developing products to help them grow, ensuring their safety, helping them earn, and providing spaces for them to connect. Twitch will continue to find new ways to unite the community, celebrate achievements, and help streamers reach their goals.

Join the live session on Patch Notes on /Twitch on Wednesday, May 15 at noon PST to discuss these programs and answer questions.
