PixARK PART OF THE STEAM AUTUMN SALE

Snail Games and Studio Wildcard announced that open world voxel-based sandbox survival game PixARK is joining the Steam Autumn Sale this week, dropping the price of the game by 25% from November 21 through November 27. To welcome the influx of new players, Snail is activating six new game servers across the globe. PixARK is currently in Early Access on Steam for PC players, but will be launching digitally and at retail in early 2019 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.

“There have been huge updates and improvements made to PixARK since we launched in March, making it a great game for new players as well as haven’t played recently,” said Peter Kang, COO of Snail Games USA. “Our team is looking forward to bringing the final version of the game to players globally early next year.”

In PixARK, a group of players wake up on a mysterious island, only to find themselves stranded. To survive, they must hunt, harvest, craft items, grow crops and build shelters to protect themselves from dinosaurs, natural hazards and potentially hostile human players. Using skills and the natural resources around them, players must tame or kill vicious creatures and learn to travel between procedurally generated worlds, with no two worlds ever being the same.

Since the game launched on Early Access on Steam and the Games Preview program on Xbox One, the PixARK development team has been hard at work adding features and enhancing the game play. New rare subspecies of creatures appear in specific biomes with new skills, abilities, colors and appearances. Dinosaurs and creatures throughout the game have been rebalanced and a particle effects system helps players understand the strength of individual creatures.

Improvements have been made in the game across the board, including user interface changes, optimized loading times, easier default difficulty level, an in-game Wiki to help players understand the world, better information on individual servers and much more. Snail will be launching six new servers for the US, Europe and Asia, split between Pioneering and Chaos settings, in order to give new players areas to settle and build upon.
