Razersuperfuture: Razer and Retrosuperfuture Collaborate on Exclusive Gaming

Razer, the renowned global lifestyle brand for gamers, has teamed up with contemporary streetwear brand Retrosuperfuture (RSF) to launch their first collaboration on gaming eyewear, dubbed Razersuperfuture. This partnership not only signifies Razer’s entrance into the fashion eyewear market but also marks RSF’s expansion into the gaming scene.

Curated by D-CAVE, a lifestyle space within the metaverse that caters to the digital culture-savvy audience, this collaboration emphasizes the growing intersection of gaming and fashion in contemporary pop culture. It demonstrates the significant impact that gaming has on both the cultural and fashion scenes, highlighting the convergence of these two spheres.

The exclusive Razersuperfuture sunglasses are designed to combine Retrosuperfuture’s Italian craftsmanship with Razer’s iconic design aesthetics. The mask-like silhouette is inspired by sportswear pieces with urban streetwear vibes. The eyewear features chunky acetate rims and temples, with a wide lens mounted for extensive coverage and protection during use. The sunglasses are also equipped with unique high-tech, photochromic lenses, allowing them to be worn both indoors and outdoors, as well as a blue light protection finish to provide comfort during extended gaming sessions.

Addie Tan, Associate Director of Business Development at Razer, commented on the collaboration, stating, “Razer is no stranger to the fashion scene, having collaborated with renowned fashion and lifestyle brands as well as launched our own lines of apparel. Daniel Beckerman, CEO and Founder of Retrosuperfuture, also expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting the harmonious blend of style and function in the eyewear, which is built to withstand the rigors of intense gaming sessions.

The Razersuperfuture sunglasses will feature Razer’s tagline, “For Gamers. By Gamers,” scribed on the lenses, and each pair will be uniquely serialized on the right outer temple. The inscriptions will be in Razer’s iconic acid green branding.

The limited-edition Razersuperfuture glasses will be available from May 5, 2023, at an MSRP of $239.00 USD / 249€, exclusively on Razer.com and in select Retrosuperfuture stores.
