Bread & Fred, the highly anticipated co-op platformer developed by Sand Castles Studio and published by Apogee Entertainment, is joining forces with St. Jude PLAY LIVE to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. By participating in the St. Jude PLAY LIVE Challenge Season, players can help raise funds for children’s cancer research while enjoying an engaging gaming experience.
Running from May 2nd to May 31st, 2023, the St. Jude PLAY LIVE Challenge Season offers players the opportunity to download the Bread & Fred demo on Steam and access exclusive St. Jude content. Throughout the month of May, weekly themed events and challenges will be available, providing endless entertainment and opportunities for gamers to make a difference.
In Bread & Fred, players jump, cling, and swing through various levels while searching for special in-game artwork hidden in hard-to-reach locations. These unique pieces were created by St. Jude patients, making the game even more meaningful. Apogee Entertainment and St. Jude PLAY LIVE will release new weekly challenges every Friday during the month of May, keeping the gameplay fresh and exciting.
As players progress, they can earn real-world prizes and help raise money for children’s cancer research. The St. Jude PLAY LIVE stream toolkit allows players to track their charity progress with PLAY LIVE-branded graphics, adding another layer of excitement and accomplishment to the gaming experience.
The cooperative nature of Bread & Fred sets it apart from other platformers, as players must work together to overcome obstacles and achieve victory.
