REPUBLIC OF GAMER ESPORTS FEST comes to a successful conclusion on its very first edition.

Last Sunday December 10th the first edition of the ROG ESPORTS FEST took place at Fronton Mexico, organized by ESPORTS LATAM with full support from ASUS, where all attendees had the opportunity to enjoy onsite tournaments, special guests and see their favorite teams compete to become the best on each competition.

More than 4,000 attendees were witnesses of the maximum eSports event in Mexico so far, where 1,000 of them signed up to compete on the onsite tournaments and 10 professional cosplayers participated for a total price pool of over $200,000 mexican pesos.

The event was divided in different areas. The onsite competitors could participate in  Just Dance, League of Legends, HearthStone, Battlegrounds, Halo 5, Crash Royale, Overwatch, FIFA 18, and Rainbow 6 Siege, which reunited all the competitive gamers who one by one could prove who is the best.

ESPORTS LATAM also organized a series of conferences where the attendees could gather insights on how the ESports industry is become more and more relevant and how the growth of the industry benefits both gamers and organizers. ASUS also mentioned on their conferences on how gaming hardware has been dominating on international competitions and why ROG is the choice of champions.

Also, other subjects where addressed at the conferences such as how to become an eSports professional, pro gamers experiences on international tournaments such as FIFA, For Honor and Ultimate Marvel on a pro gamer panel. Other government entities where present such as the ANFESED, ENED, y CPLED who explained the best way to coach players on the esports on the multidiscipline.

During ROG ESPORTS FEST there was a professional cosplay contest, where cosplayers represented their favorite characters to win prices. The event couldn’t be complete without the Asus Experience zone, where PC gamers could enjoy the latest innovations of the Republic of Gamers line like the new ASUS GX501 Zephyrus, ROG GX800, professional gaming monitors of the PG and XG Curve series.

ROG ESPORTS FEST hosted the finals of the “Liga Mexicana de Videojuegos” master league season 2, where the final games Leage of Legends, Rainbow 6 Siege y Halo 5 came to a conclusion, exciting all attendees and the thousands watching on stream.
