PQube and Mages have declared the upcoming release of SINce Memories: Off the Starry Sky, a stand-alone entry in the Memories Off series. Scheduled to launch on Steam, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4, this visual novel weaves a narrative of grief, friendship, and enigma.
Storyline and Setting
The game unfolds around Junya Mizumoto, a university student grieving his brother’s recent death. The plot thickens with the sudden appearance of a mysterious girl who provocatively tells Junya, “you should have been the one to die.” The story navigates through Junya’s emotional journey, his interaction with close allies, and his ambitious project to renovate a traditional Japanese manor, Hojo manor, signifying the central theme of overcoming past traumas and building anew.
Gameplay and Features
SINce Memories stands out with its branching narrative paths, offering players the chance to explore various character routes and build relationships with five key heroines: Chihaya, Hinata, Chunyu, Yuriko, and Azusa. The game is set a decade after the Memories Off series, incorporating a modern setting while retaining the charm of its predecessor.
