Red Art Games has announced the highly anticipated console release of Skautfold: Usurper, the second installment in the 5-game Skautfold series. Developed by Pugware, this 2D Metroidvania Action RPG offers a challenging gameplay experience and continues the series’ captivating narrative. Red Art Studios has ported the game to consoles, with Red Art Games handling the publishing.
Skautfold: Usurper is scheduled for a digital release on Nintendo Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, and Xbox One on June 23rd, priced at €14.99/$14.99. Additionally, physical PS5 & PS4 editions will be available in September for $24.99. The Skautfold: Bloody Pack, a bundle containing Skautfold: Shrouded in Sanity and Skautfold: Usurper, will be released on Switch on September 1st for €39.99. The physical edition of the PS5 version of Skautfold: Shrouded in Sanity, previously announced, is set to release in June for €19.99.
Pre-orders for the PEGI-rated physical editions of all three titles will open at 5 PM CEST on Friday, May 5th, through the official Red Art Games online store. Players who pre-order the physical version of Skautfold: Usurper directly from Red Art Games will receive the exclusive Deluxe Edition, which includes a sleeve, a double-sided poster, and an exclusive keychain featuring the game’s main character as a pre-order bonus. Those who pre-order the Skautfold: Bloody Pack will also receive the exclusive Deluxe Edition with a sleeve, a double-sided poster, and two keychains featuring both Skautfold protagonists as pre-order bonuses.
For North American customers, ESRB-rated boxed copies of Skautfold: Usurper, the Skautfold: Bloody Pack, and Skautfold: Shrouded in Sanity will retail for $24.99, $39.99, and $19.99, respectively. These ESRB-rated physical copies will be distributed by Video Games Plus (VGP), Red Art Games’ North American partner. Pre-orders for the ESRB-rated versions will be available on VGP’s site from 5 PM CEST on Friday, May 5th.
