Latest Additions to the SMITE x Avatar Collaboration
Nickelodeon’s Avatar: The Last Airbender once again finds its way into the world of SMITE, introducing a fresh selection of characters from the beloved series.
Three unique God skins have been unveiled, rendered in the distinctive anime-esque aesthetic that has defined the SMITE x Avatar partnership. Among the anticipated arrivals is Toph, a community favorite, accompanied by Avatar Roku.
Meet the New Characters
- Young Toph: Recognized for her earthbending prowess, Toph’s character in SMITE is portrayed as Scylla. Her skill set has been innovatively designed to reflect her geokinetic talents, allowing players to engage enemies with her earth-themed powers.
- Avatar Roku: Distinguished as Aang’s esteemed predecessor, Roku’s character introduces a firebending aspect to the game. Players can also access his dragon companion, Fang, available as an alternate skin for Yu Huang.
Toph Scylla also has a variant in the form of Fire Nation Toph, which players can acquire for free after unlocking three elements from the ongoing Avatar event.
For acquisition, players can either make a direct purchase or explore the Avatar Chest, which not only includes Toph and Roku but also features prominent characters like Aang, Korra, Zuko, and Azula.
Fire Giant Breaks into the Arena
Making a grand entry into SMITE’s Arena, the formidable Jungle Boss, known as the Fire Giant, marks his debut outside of Conquest. His intrusion has significantly altered the landscape of the Arena Map, turning it into a fiery battleground marked by streams of Underworld lava.
The challenges don’t stop there. Engaging and defeating the Fire Giant offers teams a potent buff tailored for the Arena setting. This introduces a strategic element, as players must decide whether to “Attack Fire Giant” or to challenge him, adapting their strategies according to the game’s flow.
The Fire Giant’s introduction also ushers in the Pyroclast Boulders feature. Players can target these molten rocks to assault their adversaries. Concluding the Arena matches, a thrilling Bonus Round awaits both teams, where they engage in a final battle encircled by molten lava. This signifies the dawn of a new era in the Arena, marked by the looming threat of the Fire Giant.
Last Call for the Season of Souls
This Avatar update marks the end of the Season of Souls. Players are urged to maximize the unique gameplay elements like the Stygian Beacon before they fade. Looking forward, the subsequent update will inaugurate the fourth Season in SMITE’s tenth year, preparing players for a new set of challenges to conquer.
